Mohit Gupta recently graduated from Berkeley's School of Information. His thesis, the Meaningful Location Project is a location-based service that attempts to respect users' privacy and personal understandings of place. Earlier he worked with Microsoft Research, India on map based storytelling, web-based collaboration and geolocation technologies. His other interests include media and film theory, auditory interfaces, surveillance studies and the interactions between urban spaces and ubiquitous technologies.
