Bio/Other Interests:

I was born in New York City and raised in Chicago, where I was afflicted with an attachment to the Cubs.  I covered the war in Iraq as a freelance reporter from 2004 until 2008.  I spend most of 2011 working as a contractor at Google, running the operations team for a project to add indoor maps and navigation to Google Maps.  I've spent most of my summers in New York, Chicago, and Baghdad, so I'm looking forward to fog and cold winds this summer in San Francisco.
