amac has been an EFF believer since its early days. As a young lawyer, he volunteered to help EFF win one of the first 17 USC § 1201 exemptions on behalf of the Internet Archive. He co-created and led the product counsel team at Google served as General Counsel at Twitter (and led its Trust & Safety, Public Policy, Communications and Corporate Development teams); has been Deputy Chief Technology Officer of the United States in two administrations; and co-founded the Trust & Safety Foundation, Trust & Safety Professional Association and Alloy.us. He was privileged to work at the early Berkman Klein Center, and on Google Book Search, YouTube, Gmail, The Innovator's Patent Agreement, acquiring and open-sourcing  Signal, Twitter's IPO, and the Obama and Biden Administrations' AI work, including the Blueprint for an AI Bill of Rights. He currently also serves on the boards of The Trust & Safety Foundation, The Trust & Safety Professional Association and Public Resource.
