WikiConference USA is the annual national conference of Wikimedia enthusiasts and volunteers in the United States. The weekend features presentations on Wikimedia-related outreach activities workshops to improve the skills of grassroots organizers; and discussions on the past, present, and future of the Wikimedia projects. The conference features tracks on community outreach, online activity, partnerships with institutions of knowledge, and technology.

On Saturday, October 10, EFF activist Parker Higgins will present a talk titled "Vegetation Wants To Be Free," about the process of using FOIA and other tools to add a collection of public domain images held by the United States Department of Agriculture's National Agricultural Library to Wikimedia Commons, where they may be more widely used.
