EFF will co-sponsor a panel organized by Asian Americans Advancing Justice exploring how national security computer crime prosecutions have targeted innocent communities. The panel will bring together perspectives on the history of particular communities facing U.S. government scrutiny in the name of national security.

Speakers from Chinese American, Japanese American, and Muslim American communities will address espionage prosecutions of Chinese American scientists, profiling of Arab, Middle Eastern, Muslim, and South Asian communities, and the internment of Japanese Americans during WWII. Panelists will also discuss the importance of building broad-based coalitions.
