Electronic Frontiers Georgia (EFGA), a local organization in the Electronic Frontier Alliance, (not EFF) will host this event:

How to Write Legislation and Legislative Amendments with Rep. Marvin Lim

From the Organizers:

Providing input on proposed legislation as an activist, advocate, or citizen can be very impactful. However, the state legislative season is short, and priorities can be lost in the crush to finish out the legislative season. One way to improve the success of a legislative endeavor is to have a bill, or even just an amendment, pre-written and ready to present to legislators, rather than just the core of an idea that then has to be fashioned into the text of our legal code. Having legislative text pre-written and ready to go can enhance testimony at a legislative committee, or even just during informal sidebar conversations in the halls of the legislative office building.

We are honored to be joined by Representative Marvin Lim for this presentation. Marvin Lim is the Representative for House District 99 in Gwinnett County, encompassing parts of Norcross, Lilburn, and Tucker. In 2023, this district will become House District 98 under the new redistricting plan.
