August 9, 2022 - 5:00pm PDT
Austin, TX

EFF-Austin, a local organization in the Electronic Frontier Alliance, (not EFF) will host this event:

An Intro to Digital Accessibility

From the Organizers:

In this presentation, we will explore the landscape of digital accessibility. What is the current snapshot of accessible design and development, especially after the changes brought about by COVID-19? What can content creators and web professionals do to build accessibility into their own spaces? How might accessibility fit into the EFF and EFF-Austin's work and objectives?

Our speaker this month is Erica Braverman. Erica is a UX researcher with a passion for digital accessibility. She started her professional life as a teacher, and when a friend suggested she try UX on for size her response was "What's that?" She is still figuring this out, both as a UX program manager at Knowbility and in various other creative projects.
