Our speaker this month is Jose Alvarez, whose talk we are presenting in partnership with National CyberWatch Center. Jose is a DevSecOps Engineer with a dedicated passion for setting up DevSecOps guardrails that increase software quality, security, operational velocity, and governance. He is currently working on his Master's in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from Colorado State University. Jose enjoys spending time with family, traveling, cooking, and attending meetups.

Jose will discussion the foundations of DevSecOps, the socio-technical evolutionary pressure that led to the emergence of DevSecOps, and Automation and Pipelines with security tooling built-in for fast secure software development.
