California has a once-in-a-generation opportunity to build affordable broadband for communities across the state. Last year, the state passed an historic $6 billion investment in broadband infrastructure that communities can use to bridge the digital divide once and for all.
Now, it’s up to local advocates to shape the future of internet access in their own backyards. Join EFF’s Senior Legislative Counsel Ernesto Falcon and broadband advocates from across the state to talk about how they’re working to bring affordable, lasting access to their communities.
We’ll kick start with a fireside chat with Golden State Connect Authority to talk about their work with rural fiber pilot programs. Finally, we’ll close with a panel of advocates representing diverse interests from across California to discuss how they’re using this funding to fit the needs of their communities—and how you can, too.
THIS EVENT IS LIVE AND FREE!
