Tech Lead San Diego - a local organization in the Electronic Frontier Alliance, (not EFF) will host this event:

365 Days Later, Surveillance Tech Still Runs Amok

From the Organizers:

The TRUST Surveillance Ordinance and Privacy Board Ordinance both earned a unanimous vote of approval from San Diego City Council on November 10, 2020. One year later, there is no progress to speak of on implementing these ordinances. Streetlight cameras, detection microphones, license plate readers and cell phone hijackers all continue to be used without oversight in San Diego.

At this virtual event, we'll hear from local leaders and national experts on why these ordinances are more important now than ever. We'll also dedicate significant time to audience questions and comments.
