The 1993 Clipper Chip sparked a debate on law enforcement access to encryption. While the civil society believed it had won this debate, the crypto wars have returned with complex international dimensions, as the debate moves from encrypted communications to meta-data, cloud data and malware with real-time access to devices. This panel will analyze the state of affairs and explore future options.
