Press Pause on Face Surveillance

From the Organizers:

Face surveillance is intrusive, imprecise, and often discriminatory.

The technology has been weaponized against our most vulnerable neighbors, enabling ICE to identify and track undocumented people. Studies show people of color, trans people, women, and children are more likely to be misidentified. Its inaccuracies result in people being wrongfully accused of crimes they did not commit.

It's time to put a moratorium on face surveillance in Easthampton. Our coalition worked tirelessly to make this happen in Springfield, MA and now we’re working to make sure that the moratorium is passed in towns and cities across Western Massachusetts. We can work together to protect each other!

Join our E-Party to hear from local musicians, guest experts, community activists, and community leaders who will share their stories with this technology and what we can do to "press pause" in our communities.
