Restore the 4th MN, a local organization in the Electronic Frontier Alliance, (not EFF) will host this event:

Surveillance Self Defense Workshop

From the Organizers:

Taking lessons from our panel discussion on Protesting in the Age of Mass surveillance, this workshop is an opportunity for activists on the ground to receive personalized attention from security experts and protest veterans. Attendees can expect to walk through the steps they can take before, during, and after a protest that will help maximize their data security while still being effective. You can listen to the panel discussion here

No registration is necessary. You can join the workshop by hopping on https://cafe.cyberia.club/SurveillanceSelfDefense

Attendees should come prepared with their personal cell phone if they plan on bringing it with them to protest. This workshop should only last an hour or so, but we set aside 2 hours to account for questions and troubleshooting.
