710 W Cesar Chavez St., Austin, TX

EFF Austin, a local organization in the Electronic Frontier Alliance, (not EFF) will host this event:

EFF-Austin SXSW Meetup And Website Redesign Celebration!

From the Organizers:

After two years of purely virtual meetups and events, EFF-Austin is tentatively entering the world of in-person events again, and you're invited! Whether you're an Austin native or will be in town for SXSW, join us at the downtown Austin public library from 3pm-5pm on Tuesday, March 15th for a free meetup, no badge required. Parking is available in the library's underground garage and is free for the first hour and reasonably priced after that time (https://library.austintexas.gov/central/parking).

We will be hanging out on the patio of the library's Cookbook Cafe, which also features a full bar for those who would like to join us in a drink, where we will be celebrating the recent redesign of our website (https://effaustin.org), as well as offering a gathering place for those visiting Austin during SXSW who care about digital civil liberties issues to hang out with local like-minded people (and what better place to gather than the library, which offers so many great digital resources for the community). We will have a sign identifying our table(s), and look for at least one person in an EFF hoodie.
