We will be exploring the history of Fusion Centers nationally, examining Minnesota governor Tim Walz's proposal to add millions of additional taxpayer dollars to their budget, and discussing of how fusion centers fit into larger discussions of race, power, and police funding.

Brendan McQuade is an assistant professor in the criminology department at University of Southern Maine and author of Pacifying the Homeland: Intelligence Fusion and Mass Supervision.
Dr. Matthew Guariglia is a policy analyst at the Electronic Frontier Foundation and a visiting research scholar in the history department of University of California-Berkeley.
