Future Ada, a local organization in the Electronic Frontier Alliance, (not EFF) will host this event:

OSINT and Ethical Disclosure Hands-On Workshop

From the Organizers:

This hands-on workshop will go over OSINT techniques on Internet users and the basics of ethical disclosure to individuals.

Have you ever browsed through Internet forums and wondered if you could uncover a person's true identity? What if you do, what's next?

In this beginner-friendly workshop, our instructor will go over a few techniques to link data and gain identifiable information on users of a popular social media platform. The workshop will also go over ethical disclosure of privacy issues to online users. By the end of the workshop, we hope that attendees will have learned:

- Basic Open Source Intelligence techniques
- Privacy and security considerations when posting and sharing online
- A friendly, non-threatening way to disclose privacy concerns to fellow online users
