DEF CON 19 Contest Gonna Set Your Soul On Fire

EFF is pleased to announce our Second Annual DEF CON Getaway Contest! We are proud to support the information security community and want our strongest supporters to enjoy DEF CON 19 in style. If you spread the word about our efforts to defend coders’ rights, you could find yourself in a complimentary suite in Las Vegas!

Here's how it works. Register for the DEF CON Getaway Contest and receive a personalized referral link to send your friends and family. (Registration is free; please don’t spam.) If your invitees become EFF members, you will be credited with the amount they donate through the link. The contestant to raise the most money for EFF between now and July 5, 2011, will win the Grand Prize Package:

  • Two DEF CON 19 Human badges;
  • A standard suite at the Rio Hotel and Casino for the nights of August 4-6;
  • Two tickets to Vegas 2.0’s (in)famous kickoff party theSummit on August 4;
  • Two badges for the ultra-exclusive Ninja Networks Party

The second place winner will receive two DEF CON 19 Human badges and two tickets to the Vegas 2.0 Party; the third place winner will receive one DEF CON 19 Human badge and one ticket to the Vegas 2.0 Party. All winners will receive an EFF Swag Super Pack, including EFF stickers, hats, and more!

You can join with others to form a fundraising team, but will have to divide the bounty.

Airfare and other travel expenses are not included, and winners remain responsible for all incidental costs. All contestants must be 21 years of age or older. Additional rules apply, please see the Official Rules for details. Donations may be tax-deductible as allowed by law, and referred donors will receive tax acknowledgment letters for their donations.

Many thanks to DEF CON for providing the room and DEF CON badges, Vegas 2.0 for providing the party tickets, and Ninja Networks for providing the Ninja Party badges!
