Last month, the Electronic Frontier Foundation and Stanford Fair Use Project filed a lawsuit against Viacom International to protect the free-speech rights of and Brave New Films. Viacom had improperly issued a Digital Millennium Copyright Act takedown notice to YouTube over "Stop the Falsiness" - a humorous video built around clips from Comedy Central's "The Colbert Report." The video was clearly a parody and, therefore, a non-infringing fair use.
