February 20, 2019 - 6:00pm PST
Portland, OR

A local organization in the Electronic Frontier Alliance (not EFF) will host this event:

Website / Internet Security for Small Organizations

*** Please note that this meeting is on the 3rd WEDNESDAY this month
because of the President's Day holiday on Monday! ***

Last year, KBOO suffered a website breach/hack from cryptocurrency miners. Jenka Soderberg and Gaba Rodriguez will share the lessons they learned from the attack and will offer tips on how you can better secure your website and/or online presence—even with limited resources!

Join us for a great presentation about their experience along with a discussion of ways to help you prevent a hack of your own systems! We'll have snacks, and there will be an opportunity for networking afterwards.

When:

Wednesday, February 20
6:00pm - 8:00pm

Where:

Northwest Academy
1208 SW 13th Ave., 2nd Floor
Portland, OR

This event is organized not by EFF, but by Portland's Techno Activism 3rd Mondays—a grassroots group participating in the Electronic Frontier Alliance. The EFA is a network of grassroots organizations across the country committed to promoting digital rights. Together, we're building a movement to promote freedom of expression, privacy, security, creativity, and access to knowledge.
