Harvard's Lawrence Lessig sues music publisher over YouTube takedown

Liberation Music holds the copyright to Lisztomania, by the French band Phoenix. Lessig and the Electronic Frontier Foundation are suing Liberation, claiming its takedown request earlier this year was illegitimate.

If Lessig and the EFF prevail, Liberation could have to pay damages – but that's rare, noted ars technica editor Joe Mullin, who wrote about the lawsuit last week.
