January 10, 2023 - 5:00pm to 7:00pm PST
Austin, TX

EFF-Austin, a local organization in the Electronic Frontier Alliance, (not EFF) will host this event:

An Introduction To Monero And Privacy Coins

From the Organizers:

Ever wondered what the best tool available for financial sovereignty is today? Many would posit Bitcoin as the ultimate solution, but Monero has emerged as a vital and important tool for freedom in the absence of easy-to-use and approachable privacy tools for Bitcoin. We'll dive into what Monero is, why we need it, and how it takes a holistic approach to protecting each and every user.

Our speaker this month is Seth For Privacy. Seth For Privacy is the Head of Content for Foundation, a Bitcoin-centric sovereign computing company, as well as a privacy advocate, and host of the Opt Out podcast, a podcast focused on helping others take actionable steps towards improving their personal privacy.

This event will be followed by drinks and camaraderie from 9:00PM-10:00PM in the Omni Hotel lobby.
