The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) is a multi-national free trade agreemen, taking place behind closed doors: a select group of corporate advisors can see the text, while the public, members of Congress, journalists, and civil society are excluded. If implemented, the agreement could extend restrictive intellectual property laws across the globe—with disastrous consequences for technological innovation, freedom of information and the right to personal privacy.

This forum will focus on several key elements of the Trans-Pacific Partnership, describing how it can affect the lives of millions of people and what can be done to stop it. Speaking will be Danny O'Brien, International Director of EFF, and Victor Menotti, the Executive Director of the International Forum on Globalization.

Free Admission. Wheelchair accessible. Sponsored by Progressive Democrats of America–-San Francisco and Unitarian Universalists for Peace–-San Francisco.
