The Electronic Frontier Foundation and SHARE Defense welcome you to a three day workshop on state surveillance and human rights (SSHR) which will be held in Rijeka, Croatia on 18 - 20 July as a part of Share Cyberpunk Academy and Republika Festival.

If you are in a region come and learn how to organize a local mutiny against mass spying! Pour over the latest treasure maps revealed by the NSA revelations, and EFF’s lawsuits in the United States. Find out about your fellow crewmates at Share and plot new voyages together in policy and grassroots advocacy. Learn the latest meme shanties and rise the freedom flag in your country!

In these intensive, but productive set of sessions, we’ll be:

1. Presenting and discussing the political and legal aspects of State electronic surveillance in the Balkan region. We will learned more about the International Principles on the Application of Human Rights to Communications Surveillance: a global plan for holding governments to account and preventing the abuse of modern high-tech spying.

2. Analyzing the ongoing issues of electronic surveillance and current advocacy campaigns.

3. Devising and discussing possible solutions, as well as concluding our journey with new maps, new rigging, and a fine new fleet of fellow freedom fighters.

We still have a few places for selected crew members interested in the topic so if you think you have a courage to join our journey contact us at info@sharedefense.com.

We look forward to sailing with you, and joining you in your future travels!
