Level Up Digital Freedom

The Electronic Frontier Foundation has just launched the Year End Challenge, the final opportunity to raise funds to protect online civil liberties and the open Internet before the end of 2017. If you donate today, you’ll help EFF receive additional challenge grants totaling $39,350! EFF is a U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit and donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.

This has been an extraordinary year filled with triumphs, but also new challenges to civil liberties. Member support has allowed EFF to fight back. In just the last few months, EFF launched a lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security to protect travelers from unlawful searches at the U.S. border; scored a victory against persistent spying by automated license plate readers; expanded our network of grassroots activists; and developed new digital security education tools to strengthen every community.

Looking ahead, we are carving a path forward in the fight for net neutrality and pushing for crucial reforms to rein in NSA spying. As we anticipate new battles and regroup for rematches, we build on more than 25 years of impact litigation, advocacy, and technology to protect users and defend digital civil liberties. What happens next will change the way that we learn and interact for years to come, and we need public support help to succeed in setting things right.

EFF is tremendously grateful for everything that members have helped us accomplish in the name of free expression, privacy, and the future of innovation. I urge you to reach out and support organizations like EFF that are stemming the tide of modern dystopia and building a better digital future.
