Nicole Ozer

Nicole Ozer

Nicole Ozer leads cutting-edge law and policy to advance rights, justice, and democracy and is a legal expert on artificial intelligence, privacy and surveillance, and digital speech.

Before becoming Executive Director of the Electronic Frontier Foundation in June 2026, she had launched the Center for Constitutional Democracy at UC Law San Francisco as its Inaugural Executive Director and earlier was the founding Director and longtime leader of the Technology and Civil Liberties Program at the ACLU of Northern California.

Sarah Hamid

Sarah Hamid

Sarah T. Hamid (she/any) has been a community organizer working at the intersection of technology, global/domestic warfare, and punishment-based criminal and bordering systems for the past decade. In 2018, she co-founded the Carceral Tech Resistance Network, a knowledge-sharing network connecting grassroots efforts against the design, testing, and deployment of violent technologies. Now sunsetting, CTRN’s network grew to include 76+ advocacy groups across the Midwest, Southwest, and West Coast at its height.

Kenyatta Thomas

Kenyatta Thomas

As the Social Media and Video Manager at EFF, Kenyatta Thomas leads the creation of digital content that educates and mobilizes the public across EFF's online platforms. They come to EFF from a background in youth and reproductive justice advocacy and organizing, having previously worked with organizations such as Physicians for Reproductive Health, the National Network of Abortion Funds, Reproaction, and Advocates for Youth. Their work as a sex educator and abortion doula informs their deep commitment to community care, access to information, and tech equity.

Amy Chen

Amy serves as a member of EFF's Human Resources team. Before joining EFF, she gained experience in various HR roles across both the public and private sectors. Outside of work, Amy is a passionate boba enthusiast and a music lover who enjoys exploring a wide range of music genres.

Jocelyn Wicker

Jocelyn Wicker

Jocelyn Wicker, CFRE (she/her) has nearly two decades of experience as a fundraising and relationship management professional. Her goal is to help donors live their values through philanthropy. Before joining EFF she held previous roles with the ACLU of Northern California, the San Francisco Art Institute, and Planned Parenthood Federation of America, and she is a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Fundraising Professionals - Golden Gate chapter.

Betelhem/Betty Zewge Gedlu

Betelhem/Betty Zewge Gedlu

Betelhem Gedlu is a staff attorney at the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), where she brings together her expertise in intellectual property law and her deep commitment to human rights advocacy. At EFF, she works to ensure that technology upholds democracy, protects privacy, and fosters human rights.

Rindala Alajaji

Rindala Alajaji

Rindala "Rin" Alajaji (she/her) is the Associate Director of State Affairs at the Electronic Frontier Foundation, primarily focused on state legislation impacting digital privacy, surveillance, reproductive rights, and free expression. Prior to joining EFF, Rin worked to advance and defend civil rights and education justice policies in state legislatures as Equality Florida's Public Policy Manager and GLSEN's State and Local Policy Manager. She is a graduate of Columbia University's Human Rights Studies M.A. program, and holds a B.S.
