Work Gallery - 1pm 306 S. State Street Like many artists, those working in film, video and new media need protection for their creative work. Yet many also need access to sample, reference and illustrate using the work of others. In the battle between copyright violations and fair use rights, where do we draw the line for filmmakers? What should filmmakers do if they find themselves on either side of the issue, and what are some practical solutions to prevent a violation?
